Florida State absorbed a tough loss on Saturday, and it happened before the Seminoles even took the field against Clemson: elite recruit Marquez Ezzard took to Twitter to announce his decommtitment from FSU.
Ezzard (6-1.5, 213) is a head-turning athlete from Stockbridge, Georgia; he’s the top player in the Peach State for the class of 2018, who definitely showed why on Friday evening, when he caught six passes and turned five of them into touchdowns. The ’Noles offered Ezzard in April, and following an unofficial visit to Tallahassee in June, he committed in July. The loss of Ezzard drops FSU’s class to No. 10 in the nation and NO. 2 in the ACC, behind Miami. Ezzard’s recruitment was led by defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey— he also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, USC, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and many more.
