Defenders generally don’t reach the end zone, especially if the defensive unit isn’t even on the field. However, Tarvarus McFadden made his special teams appearance count.
On a blocked field goal, McFadden scooped up the football and ran it for a touchdown, his first ever at Florida State.
The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native said it was a great feeling and when those opportunities arise, you just have to embrace them.
When asked about the rough season thus far, the junior compared it to his position.
“I’m gonna keep going regardless As a corner, things don’t always go your way, it’s just part of the game.”
He also talked about his excitement for walk-on Justin Motlow who scored his first career touchdown on Saturday. With that grab, Motlow became the first ever Seminole tribe member with a touchdown at Florida State.
