Brian Burns enjoyed seeing FSU teammates recover turnovers in win at Florida

Florida State forced four turnovers in the victory at Florida.

NCAA Football: Florida State at North Carolina State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Sophomore Brian Burns had a great all-around showing at Florida on Saturday. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native had five tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and forced a fumble. Needless to say, Burns was all around the field during the victory.

He was ecstatic to see everyone on the defense get involved.

“Once (the turnovers) start rolling, everyone is getting one. I’m just so happy that we all got turnovers.”

The defensive end downplayed that forced fumble early in the game that led to Florida State momentum.

“Nothing really spectacular, I just came off the edge with speed, he was about to throw the ball, so I hit it.”

His teammate Jacob Pugh recovered that fumble and returned it for a touchdown. Burns said Pugh told him one thing after that play, “Thank you.”
