With continued rumors surrounding Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M job opening, the current head coach at Florida State joined Andy Staples and Danny Kennell on Sirius XM radio for the second radio spot in as many days. Fisher’s call-in show yesterday featured a fan being pushed and ejected after asking a question about his loyalty.
Fisher’s interview on SiriusXM was previously scheduled and, even in light of the mayhem of the last few days, continued as planned.
Coming up in 15 minutes on @ESPNUonSiriusXM we've got FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher. Tune in on Channel 84.— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) November 30, 2017
Fisher was asked about this fan’s ejection from the show, saying he was sorry they removed him from the show and that he would have answered his question. Fisher then went on to say he is loyal to the program and coaching through Saturday’s game, but any decision would be made after the season.
Jimbo Fisher on Sirius XM about fan being removed at coaches show: “The man asked a question, he deserved an answer. I’m sorry we did that. I am loyal. We’re busting our tails 16 hours a day. No decision has been made. We’re busting our tails to make a bowl game”— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) November 30, 2017
Fisher also said he wished the guy hadn't been tossed from the show. He said he would have answered the question. Said he is loyal and that decisions would be made after the season.— Andy Staples (@Andy_Staples) November 30, 2017
Jimbo to @ESPNUonSiriusXM : "Imma coach, we're coaching through this game, then I'll make - we always make decisions at the end of the year, when things are - after they've finished."— Tom Lang (@_TomLang) November 30, 2017
As always, Fisher refused to answer whether or not he’ll be the head coach at Florida State next season, citing his continued policy about not addressing jobs.
We all know Andy’s a big foodie, but foreshadowing for Jimbo’s time in Texas?
