Jimbo Fisher was in a jubilant mood following Florida State’s 27-24 victory over Syracuse.
He first began his press conference talking about Florida State and how he likes the, “heart and soul,” the team has been playing with.
Regarding the ULM game, Fisher said that the matchup will “most likely” be rescheduled and he just needs to talk to FSU Athletic Director Stan (Wilcox) regarding the logistics.
Fisher was pleased with true freshman quarterback James Blackman’s performance, saying, “Blackman did a good job. We gotta protect him a little better.” He finished the game with 136 passing yards on 12-19 passing.
On the ground, Cam Akers ran for a career high 199 yards. Fisher said he is starting to hit those home runs while not actively looking for them one each run. He’s pleased with the growth of his patience and maturity this season.
