A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about an unfortunate knee injury suffered by Seminole redshirt-junior offensive lineman Brock Ruble. He went down in noticeable pain during Florida State’s obliteration of Delaware State, an injury that really dug into FSU’s depth along its offensive front. As I wrote in that piece, this is a tricky loss for Florida State, since Ruble is listed on the Seminoles’ depth chart as the backup at three different positions.
It was obvious at the time that Ruble wouldn’t be back anytime soon, an observation corroborated when we found out that he’d injured his MCL. And as it turns out, Ruble isn’t going to be back at all. Ruble took to Twitter this afternoon to publicly announce that he has decided to forego his final year of eligibly.
Ruble left an explanatory note that was nothing but complimentary toward his teammates at FSU and his time with the program. He’s about to graduate with a Criminology degree.
It’s been an amazing ride✊ pic.twitter.com/fQiOtUauEA
