After addressing the media for the first time Wednesday at his formal introduction as Florida State’s new football coach, Willie Taggart addressed the FSU fanbase for the first time at halftime of FSU’s game against Loyola (MD).
Both beginning and ending his talk with the chop, Taggart talked about the excitement he has to be at his dream job, a team that he grew up watching. He also mentioned twice that he will “get FSU back to its winning ways”.
Taggart also took the time to discuss recruiting. He mentioned that he looks forward to bringing in “the next Deion Sanders, the next Peter Warrick, the next Charlie Ward.”
For Taggart, that begins immediately as Noles247 has reported that the new FSU head coach will go in-home either tonight or tomorrow with five-star 2018 quarterback Justin Fields, who is currently committed to Georgia.
