Football:
- In his latest ACC mailbag, ESPN’s David Hale was asked who he thought would play in the ACC Championship Game.
Neither division has a clear favorite at this point, which is actually a credit to the depth of the league. If I'm picking, though, I'm leaning Miami in the Coastal (I know, I know ... but I've not picked the Hurricanes in any of my years covering the ACC, so don't lump me in with all the others) and Florida State in the Atlantic. I love Miami's defense, and if Mark Richt can bring along one of his young QBs, that's going to be the most talented team in the Coastal, without question. And a developing Francois and a healthy Derwin James, to me, make Florida State my early pick for a national championship.
