Florida State has two potential first round selections in Round 1 of the 2017 NFL Draft which takes place later on Thursday night. RB Dalvin Cook has been connected to many teams, and could be taken in the first half of the opening round.
Defensive end DeMarcus Walker has a very slight chance, but a chance nevertheless to be selected in the first round. That’s where Mel Kiper projected Walker during his on-air mock draft earlier this month.
If Cook or Walker were to be selected in the first round of Thursday’s draft, it would mark the sixth straight season that a Seminole was drafted in the first round. Last year, DB Jalen Ramsey was selected fifth overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
