Florida State football, recruiting news: Was Deondre Francois a better dual-threat QB than Deshaun Watson in 2016?

Football:

• Bill C. of SB Nation broke down the quarterbacks and their stats in 2016 into different categories, and ranked them accordingly. In the end, FSU QB Deondre Francois finished in the 85th percentile among dual-threat QBs, in front of Deshaun Watson in the 81st percentile.
• According to Athlon Sports, FSU has the toughest out of conference slate in the ACC for the upcoming 2017 season.

FSU-Alabama on opening weekend? It’s tough to envision a more intriguing Week 1 game in recent memory. The Noles’ season-ending trip to Florida is nothing to sneeze at, either, considering Bama and UF have met in the SEC Championship Game in each of the past two seasons.

• Daniel Jeremiah’s latest 2017 NFL Mock Draft has FSU RB Dalvin Cook going to the New York Giants at No. 23 overall.

Recruiting:

• 2019 defensive tackle commit Lloyd Murray is making a visit to Florida State this weekend. He has other offers from Oklahoma, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, UCLA, Miss State among others.

• Florida State basketball is projected to be a seventh seed in the 2018 NCAA Draft.
