Florida State football conducted a draft style selection, with some intervening from the coaches, to produce the Garnet and Gold squads for the 2017 Spring Game.
For a little comparison, here are what the teams looked like for the 2016 inter-squad game.
Highlighting the Garnet squad is defensive back Derwin James who will be making his return to Doak Campbell after missing the final 11 games of the 2016 season. LB Dontavious Jackson will also be joining James, coming off a very successful freshman year that saw him record 20 tackles, three for loss and half a sack.
On the Gold squad, QB Deondre Francois will be at the helm. He won’t play the full game, giving some of the reserves a chance to play, but the rising sophomore should see some decent time on the field Saturday.
Below are the full rosters for the Garnet and Gold teams. The game will kickoff at 3 PM EST on ESPN. You can also view them here.
NOTE: According to the Florida state SID, some players who are not listed may play as they have not decided what team they will be on. Those players may also not play.
