You probably shouldn’t be surprised that incoming freshman running back Khalan Laborn isn’t shying away from the spotlight. After all, this is the recruit who announced his commitment to Florida State football with the help of a Lamborghini. Laborn made another announcement via social media on Tuesday afternoon, revealing that he would sport the No. 4 jersey in the backfield for the Seminoles.
The news is a bit brow-raising, of course, as that’s the same number that the program’s all-time leading rusher, Dalvin Cook, just finished wearing in Tallahassee. Any FSU running back will naturally draw comparisons to Cook going forward, and Laborn certainly does not seem to be running from them, given this move. And he has good reason to be confident: Laborn is a composite five-star commit who is considered the country’s top all-purpose back and the best player coming out of Virginia. Laborn enrolled at FSU on June 9th, per Noles247.
I will be rocking 4✌ ‼️
