Florida State running back Jacques Patrick has a unique connection with a number of his offensive skill position cohorts.
The Orlando native has been teammates with wide receiver Nyqwan Murray since they were nine years old. They both regularly went up against FSU’s starting quarterback, Deondre Francois, all throughout youth football.
With Murray especially, Patrick has been there throughout his development, seeing “Noonie”, as most everyone calls him, grow up. While Murray’s skills as a wideout have improved by leaps and strides as he mature, Patrick maintains that his personality has never wavered.
“He’s been the same exact guy since he was nine years old,” Patrick said. “One of the most positive things about him is that he has always been the same.”
This long-term friendship, paired with the chemistry both of them have with Francois on and off the field, could be a coup for the Seminoles this season on offense.
