Nearly single digits.
As of this morning, 10 days separate the world from the self-proclaimed “Greatest Opener of All Time” which will see the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles go up against the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.
Now, this may still seem too far away to some, but to the FSU players, who begin gameplanning Alabama on Wednesday, it feels quite close.
“It feels right around the corner. The anticipation is actually killing me,” FSU wide receiver Auden Tate said. “I want to hurry up and play the game, but I love the preparation leading up to it.”
Tate, now a veteran of the wide receiver group, has seen growth from a number of players this fall. One of those guys, Nyqwan Murray, is embracing his role as WR1.
When asked about Murray, Tate said, “He always had the physical parts of the game. The speed, the flash, the hands. Now he’s getting to the mental part.”
