FSU practice report: ’Noles hold open practice in Doak Campbell Stadium

New, 28 comments

Fans were able to watch FSU’s practice in its entirety.

At the end of FSU’s annual fan day was a whole practice open to the public inside Doak Campbell Stadium.

Freshman offensive lineman Brady Scott remains out with his broken foot. Defensive back Hamsah Nasirildeen continues to practice with a non-contact blue-shirt. Defensive back Cyrus Fagan remains out with what Fisher called a swollen knee with potential cartilage damage — the team will wait for the swelling to subside. Linebacker Dontavious Jackson was back on Sunday after missing Saturday’s practice with an illness. Defensive end Joshua Kaindoh performed individual drills on the sideline. Defensive tackle Adam Torres remained out as well. Freshman wide receiver D.J. Matthews was in pads after missing Saturday’s practice with a pulled hamstring.

Much was the same as Saturday’s practice on offense. The first offensive line to take reps hasn’t changed all preseason but isn’t necessarily the starting line per Jimbo Fisher. Those players from left to right were Rick Leonard, Landon Dickerson, Alec Eberle, Cole Mishew and Derrick Kelly. Malique Jackson continued to work with the receivers working on his transition from cornerback.

DT Marvin Wilson continues to impress with his size and length.

Special Teams:

Ricky Aguayo continues to have a nice camp, nailing a 41-yard field goal with plenty of distance.

Florida State’s next practice is on Tuesday.
