Exclusive: FSU running backs/special teams coach Jay Graham speaks out

Making the most of Media Day.

Florida State running backs coach Jay Graham has a a problem; and it’s one that any RB coach in the country would love to have. Namely, a stable of talented backs, and just one football to distribute among them.

This comes on the heels of having just coached the greatest running back in program history, Dalvin Cook. Of course, Graham has additional responsibilities on the Seminole staff, as he’s also in charge of the ’Nole special teams. And those, well, they’ve presented a bit more of a challenge of late.

After coaching Roberto Aguayo, arguably the best kicker in the history of FSU and maybe even the country, as well as a punter, in Cason Beatty, who wound up being downright clutch, 2016 was a trickier year for Seminole kickers and punters. We caught up with Graham on Florida State’s recent Media Day and were able to get some one-on-one time, during which he addressed both aspects of his job:
