Florida State defensive end Brian Burns burst through opponents’ offensive lines and onto the national stage in 2016, terrorizing quarterbacks en route to 9.5 sacks in what was just his freshman campaign.
Seminole fans were understandably appreciative of Burns’ effort— but that doesn’t mean he’s satisfied. We caught up with Burns for a little one-on-one interview at Media Day on Sunday, and Burns made his intentions for 2017 very clear: to stay on the field and become an every-down player. And for Burns, the way to accomplish that goal is by improving his skills as a run defender.
