Florida State QB Deondre Francois breaks down his off-season

New, 7 comments

Hear what the quarterback did during his summer off and his thoughts on the new quarterbacks.

Florida State QB Deondre Francois heads into camp in a different circumstance than the one presented to him last year. As opposed to a quarterback battle, Francois is the consensus starter.

When asked about what he worked on this offseason and what he will focus on heading into the regular season, Francois replied, “My footwork, my protections. Try to work at something each day of practice, trying to focus on one thing that I can get better at.”

The rising redshirt sophomore also spoke very highly of the new freshman quarterbacks on campus, Bailey Hockman and James Blackman.

After saying they looked very good in practice, Francois continues by saying, “Those guys are very very precise in where to throw the ball. They take coaching well, and thats a good thing because coach Fisher coaches us quarterbacks hard...I’ve just seen those guys take the coaching. One thing I’ve noticed is Bailey and Blackman make mistakes, but then don’t repeat those same mistakes again.”
