Changes to the Florida State football depth chart have been few and especially far between during what has become a protracted beginning to the 2017 campaign for the Seminoles. But after what will wind up being three weeks off after the Alabama game, the ’Noles will resume the field once more on Saturday, opening conference play and their home schedule by hosting NC State at noon.
After no changes were made to the depth chart for the Louisiana-Monroe game that was ultimately cancelled outright, there is a notable shift on this week’s— and another interesting ambiguity. True freshman James Blackman has replaced the injured Deondre Francois atop the quarterback depth chart, as expected, but his backup is still uncertain, as redshirt-junior J.J. Cosentino and frosh Bailey Hockman are listed as co-QB2s.
When asked about the backup spot, Head Coach Jimbo Fisher did not give a clear answer. Fisher did, however, offer a rather encouraging, though terse, summarization of FSU’s injury issues at present: “We’re all healthy.”
The rest of the offense, defense, and special teams depth remains unchanged on the latest depth chart, included below.
