Do you think that there are 10 teams better than Florida State? Pollsters do, presently, as the Seminoles have dropped to No. 12 in the most recent AP Poll. And the professional odds makers in Las Vegas concur— at least with regard to which teams have the best shot of winning the national championship in 2017.
Bovada, a reputable sports book, has the ’Noles at a 28/1 shot of winning it all this season, tied with the Washington Huskies. The only one-loss team ahead of FSU is Ohio State, which seems fair, since Florida State has also yet to win a game this season. The Seminoles are 0-1, due to a canceled game against Louisiana-Monroe and a rescheduled contest against Miami.
Because of the effects of Hurricane Irma, FSU remains one of the more mysterious teams in the country, despite opening on a national stage against Alabama. So, would you lay money on the ’Noles? The rest of the odds are included below.
