Brian Burns is ready for FSU’s long layoff to end

Florida State hasn’t played an opponent in nearly three weeks.

Florida State football defensive end Brian Burns and the rest of the team haven’t played a game since September 2nd vs. Alabama, A span of 17 days and counting. You can tell Burns and the rest of the team are ready to get back on the field.

“Two or three weeks, its about time to get out there and compete.”

During the long period off, Burns said he watched other college football games on Saturday night and noted that it’s a little boring watching the games knowing that FSU should be playing.

Burns gave his thoughts on FSU’s next opponent, NC State:

“Good team. Well disciplined. They play hard. They played us hard last year, they play us hard every year, so we just gotta come in and have our A game.”

Florida State’s home opener this Saturday vs. NC State kicks off at noon.
