FSU injury report for NC State: Brief list heading into home opener

The player that will miss Florida State’s home opener.

NCAA Football: Florida State Spring Game Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State will hit the field for the first time in three weeks on Saturday when the ’Noles play host to NC State. The long layoff gave plenty of time for the Seminoles who were ruled out against ULM to heal.

The injury report is extrememly brief heading into NC State with wide receiver Malique Jackson the only player who will miss the matchup.

Among those players to return are defensive backs Carlos Becker (ankle), Cyrus Fagan (knee) and Ontaria Wilson (illness), offensive linemen David Robbins (concussion) and Brady Scott (knee), and running back Ryan Green (hamstring).

Besides giving the team time to heal, the three week layoff between games gives starting true freshman quarterback James Blackman extra practice heading into his debut following the season ending injury to opening game starter Deondre Francois.

Here’s FSU’s official injury report for Saturday:

Out:

WR Malique Jackson (hamstring)

Out for Season

QB Deondre Francois (knee)

OL Jauan Williams (shoulder)

OL Baveon Johnson (knee)

Florida State Seminoles Football head coach Jimbo Fisher runs down a short injury report before its game vs. NC State Football.
