For the second straight week, Derwin James said he could have done more in a Florida State loss. The junior defensive back did have an off day on Saturday, even getting juked out on a long touchdown run. He finished the day with eight tackles and a pass breakup.
When talking about Bradley Chubb’s post game incident in which he spit on the midfield Florida State logo, Derwin James said it was disrespectful before declining to speak further on the matter. Chubb later apologized for his actions via NC State’s official Twitter page.
When asked about reevaluating the team’s goals, James said, “We still have the same goals. We don’t worry about the result.”
The Florida State defense gave up 365 total yards and 5.2 yards per play. It was inconsistent at times and essentially played the exact opposite as the offense was at that time.
