FSU’s Ricky Aguayo compares being iced three straight times to what he does in Madden

The kicker made four kicks in the loss.

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Florida State Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Ricky Aguayo made four of five attempts in Florida State’s 27-21 loss to NC State. Near the end of the first half, the sophomore kicker was iced three consecutive times by NC State. He compared it to what he does in the popular Madden video game when asked if it bothered him.

“Not really, that’s the kind of stuff I do in Madden, but having that done to me gave me more time to focus in on my technical swing.”

Aguayo made field goals from 37, 37, 36, and 34 yards away. He missed his shortest, 30-yard attempt.

“It’s just a matter of moving forward and learning from our mistakes. We have Wake Forest next week who is a really good team. I haven’t played there, but I’ve heard from my brother. We just got to move on and fix our mistakes.”
