Florida State's ranking in the college football polls: AP, USA Today Coaches

Where will the ’Noles land in the latest polls?

NCAA Football: North Carolina State at Florida State Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Update: FSU is ranked No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

In the AP Poll, Florida State is unranked.

Florida State lost its second consecutive game to open up the 2017 season. Sitting at 0-2, the Seminoles’ streak of 89 weeks ranked inside the AP Top 25 is in jeopardy. The streak is currently the second longest active streak in college behind Alabama’s 151 consecutive weeks.

The Seminoles entered Week 4 of the college football season ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll. Besides FSU, losing on Saturday were No. 6 Oklahoma State, No. 17 Miss. State and No. 24 Oregon. Now, this is the part where I’m supposed to give you my best analysis on where Florida State will be ranked when the new poll is released Sunday afternoon. Except, there is no real analysis that can point toward a certain ranking. It wouldn’t shock me if FSU was unranked, ranked in the 20’s or even in the late teens. If I had to guess, I’d say the ’Noles will be ranked around the No. 22 area.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, FSU entered Saturday ranked No. 11. Other losers include No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 19 Mississippi State, and No. 24 Oregon. FSU should wind up at, or near wherever it lands in the AP Poll.

This article will be updated with the latest polls once they are released.
