Although Florida State defensive back Derwin James did not talk to QB Deondre Francois following his injury late in the fourth quarter before James was interviewed by the media, the star junior had some things to say about the possible absence of the starting quarterback.
The Haines City, Fla. native talked about the mood in the locker room once the game ended.
“It was disappointing. No one was blaming anyone or pointing fingers... Alabama, you can’t make any excuses on... It wasn’t just special teams, it was a lot of things. A lot of plays on defense, a lot of plays on offense.”
The junior then spoke about his first performance since Week 2 of the 2016 season. He missed the final 11 games with a torn meniscus.
“The experience was all right, it could have been better. I think I could have made more plays, had a bigger impact on the game but it was alright.
