Although Florida State has only played ULM once, it is history nevertheless.
The only game in the series was back in 2011 when the ’Noles defeated the Warhawks 34-0 at Doak Campbell Stadium to open up the season.
The Seminoles only allowed 191 total yards to ULM. Despite not recovering any loose footballs, FSU did force three fumbles and intercepted a pass.
The score was a lopsided 34-point shutout, but you wouldn’t think that by looking at the box score. After the first quarter, it was just 7-0 FSU with the Seminoles taking a 17-0 lead going into halftime.
At the helm for the Garnet and Gold was E.J. Manuel who threw for 252 yards on 22-34 passing. On the ground, FSU only had 92 rush yards on 28 total carries.
Devonta Freeman had seven carries for 24 yards and a touchdown in his first ever collegiate football game.
The teams will kickoff this upcoming Saturday at 7 PM in Tallahassee.
