Willie Taggart has filled a key role on his new Florida State football staff, as news has broken that Maryland offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Walt Bell will assume the same role at FSU.

Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports and Sports Illustrated has reported the same thing as Thamel. Bell has run the Terrapins’ offense for the last two seasons, before which he was the OC and QBs coach at Arkansas State (from 2014-2015), which is known for its explosive offense. And in a pair of years prior to his time with the Red Wolves, Bell was the tight ends coach at North Carolina, most notably working with TE Eric Ebron, who went on to become a first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
Bell is a flexible, versatile coach who has worked all over the offensive side of the ball. He seems to fit well with Taggart’s proclivity for going fast and scoring quickly, as the latter stated in his opening press conference as a Seminole.
