Football

Florida State defensive back Levonta Taylor hoisted the lowest passer rating when targeted in the ACC this past season.

New FSU linebackers coach Raymond Woodie Jr. wishes Tarvarus McFadden the best as he heads off to the NFL. McFadden declared for the NFL Draft earlier this offseason.

Recruiting

The new coaching staff isn’t wasting anytime on establishing the future of FSU football, recently offering c/o 2020 defensive tackle Branrard Wright from Dallas (TX) Carter. Wright is listed at 6’4, 270lbs.

The new staff also re-offered four-star c/o 2019 outside linebacker Ge’mon Eaford from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) Deerfield Beach. Eaford is ranked the No. 14 OLB, the No. 32 prospect in Florida, and No. 194 nationally.

With National Signing Day just around the corner, the ’Noles have offered four-star c/o 2018 defensive end Caleb Tannor from Lithonia (GA) Miller Grove. Tannor is ranked No. 19 at his position and is the No. 36 prospect from Georgia.

Florida State also offered c/o 2018 three-star inside linebacker James Miller from Seffner (Fla) Armwood. Miller is ranked the No. 31 ILB in the class and is the No. 125 prospect in Florida.

Things are heating up in the 2019 class, as FSU has just offered four-star cornerback Devin Bush from New Orleans (LA) Edna Kart. Bush is the No. 7 prospect in the state of Louisiana, the No. 17 corner in the class, and the No. 177 prospect nationally.

Also, the Seminoles have offered c/o 2019 four-star wide receiver Marquez Beason from Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne. Beason is the No. 10 prospect out of Texas and is ranked No. 83 nationally.

Bring on the 2019’s. Another offer was also extended to four-star wide receiver Dylan Wright from Mesquite (TX) West Mesquite. Wright is the No. 36 receiver in the class, the No. 30 prospect in the state of Texas, and is ranked No. 221 nationally.

Head coach Willie Taggart continues to use his west coast connections and extended an offer to c/o 2020 four-star pro-style QB DJ Uiagalelei from Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco.

Also offered from Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco is c/o 2019 four-star cornerback Chris Steele. Steele is the No. 2 CB in the class, the No. 5 prospect from California and is ranked the No. 48 prospect nationally.

Alumni

The NFL Pro Bowl this Sunday will have some familiar faces on the field and on the NFL sidelines as team captains. The FSU duo will work together for the NFC team where Dunn (offense) and Brooks (defense) will serve as mentors, coach practices, and be present on the sideline on game day.

Other Sports

While FSU Baseball’s season is just around the corner, infielder Drew Mendoza joined Oak Ridge Elementary to help out with Literacy Week.
