Current Michigan offensive line coach Greg Frey is noted to be on campus meeting with Willie Taggart, as Coach T looks to continue finalizing his staff roster. Frey is a former FSU player under Bobby Bowden and is tightly knit with Taggart and the FSU community.

When comparing its bowl game to the others around the country, Florida State’s performance ranked among the top.

Here’s a look at the ACC’s bowl performance this season compared to the rest of college football, and years past.

CBS Sports recently ranked all of this year’s bowl games according to their results, and although the Seminoles were near the bottom of the list it’s at least for the best of reasons.

“33. Independence Bowl: Florida State 42, Southern Miss 13 -- It looked like it was going to be interesting early, but then Florida State realized it was Florida State.”

The AJC predicts Derwin James will be selected 13th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.

Other Sports

Florida State men’s basketball plays its biggest home game to date, squaring off against UNC on Wednesday night at 7 PM. The Seminoles opened ACC play at Duke with a close 100-93 loss.

Update in the men’s hoops world: the game for tomorrow against UNC is still on despite some weather concerns.

On the women’s side, Imani Wright was named ACC Co-Player Of The Week after huge performances against UNC and Jacksonville.
