FSU defensive end Joshua Kaindoh ejected vs. Wake Forest, will miss first half against Clemson

The ’Noles will be down a man to get things going against a top-tier team.

When you're playing out the garbage time of a blowout win, you hope for a couple of things: getting some young guys a little playing time, and avoiding injuries. After all, you’d hate to see someone miss meaningful PT because of bad luck in a game already decided.

But that’s exactly what will happen to Seminole defensive end Joshua Kaindoh in the first half against Clemson next week— only it wasn’t misfortune, it was a terrible miscue on Kaindoh’s behalf. With 5:04 remaining and the ’Noles up 38-10 on Wake Forest, Kaindoh was ejected for targeting when he lowered his head to hit the Demon Deacons’ quarterback late. It was the right call, and because it was a second-half ejection, Kaindoh will also have to sit out for the first half when the Tigers come calling on Saturday.

Kaindoh is listed as Brian Burns’ backup on the latest FSU depth chart, with no other players included below him. He had a pair of sacks against Wake Forest.
