Show notes are as follows, roughly in order
Here are the things we learned, and what we want to know going forward.
Florida State came out with a great game plan which allowed it to neutralize the massive advantage Miami had with its defensive line against FSU’s offensive line.
Florida State ran the ball, they threw it quickly, they threw it off play action, they threw screens, they used different formations, and variations of their normal plays. They even ran the QB a bit.
In the second half, though, Miami just physically dominated FSU up front. They tapped into a gear which FSU’s under-manned offensive line just can’t get to. And the second half went about how we thought the entire game would go.
FSU didn’t make bonehead mistakes, it just got physically whipped in the second half. Being in this game at all was very impressive considering FSU’s September.
Still, there are real positives and improvements being made. And that’s discussed on the show.
