FSU makes numerous depth chart changes for Boston College game

Still looking for the right personnel in Tallahassee.

Forget about the fact that it’s week 12 and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. The Seminoles continue to look for the right combinations on the field, on both sides of the ball, and that search is reflected in yet another new Florida State depth chart.

Offensively, Deondre Francois’ return to the QB1 spot seems to have been solidified. The depth chart for Notre Dame listed Francois “OR” James Blackman as the starting quarterback, but 12 now has the top line to himself, ahead of Blackman.

There’s an interesting shuffle at one of the receiver spots, which had listed Nyqwan Murray “OR” D.J. Matthews, and then Keyshawn Helton. The “OR” remains, but Matthews is now listed first, Murray second, and then Helton. George Campbell, who got the start last week and saw several targets, is still excluded from the depth chart.

Surprise: there are several offensive line changes. At left tackle, Derrick Kelly persists on the top line, but his backup is now listed as Abdul Bello, instead of Jauan Williams. Cole Minshew was the starter at left guard, with Arthur Williams as his backup, but those roles have been flipped. And at right tackle, Brady Scott had been listed first, with Abdul Bello behind him, but Jauan Williams is now included as the starter ahead of Scott.

On defense, Marvin Wilson has finally achieved the top spot at nose guard, flipping roles with Fred Jones. At DE, Joshua Kaindoh has moved from Brian Burns’ backup to the starter on the other side. Janarius Robinson is now slotted in behind 99. After Kaindoh are Walvewnski Aime “OR” Dennis Briggs, Jr., who saw time against the Irish.

There’s also been some shuffling of the linebacking corps. Dontavious Jackson has gone from the starting MIKE position to the starter at SAM, in front of Decalon Brooks, the previous starter there. Leonard Warner is now the starter at MIKE, with Jackson included as his backup. Adonis Thomas and Emmett Rice have been dropped from the depth chart.
