FSU’s Ricky Aguayo on upcoming game against Florida: ‘We hate those guys’

Field goal kickers are used to pressure-packed moments, often taking the field with the outcome of a game hanging in the balance. And in the present circumstance, that one game to conclude this season will affect history built on nearly four decades of success for Florida State.

This is the situation that faces the entire FSU program, as it will put the nation’s longest bowl streak on the line in its regular-season finale against the Florida Gators on Saturday. And that’s not lost on Seminole kicker Ricky Aguayo— nor is any love for UF. After having his first kick against No. 20 Boston College blocked due to an interior line collapse, Aguayo remained tuned in and stroked his next three attempts, from 35, 25, and 37 yards out, respectively. They were all critical field goals, as FSU edged BC by the narrowest of margins, 22-21.
