Florida State revealed its uniform combination for the final home game of the 2018 season today: garnet pants, garnet jerseys, and gold helmets. This combo may not be the traditional home look for Florida State, but perhaps it occupies a bit of a middle ground for fans on either side of the ongoing uniform-debate spectrum.
For those who like the variety and novelty of experimenting with different looks, this is still another combination as yet unseen in 2018. The last time the Seminoles appeared in this was against Southern Miss in last year’s Independence Bowl. Traditionalists, on the other hand, can at least cite the fact that garnet and gold — and not black — dominate the uniforms. That is, this is a much more recognizable look for FSU. There’s also a history with this combination against Florida: Florida State sported this look in 1992, a game that the ’Noles won 45-24.
