Secondary changes headline depth-chart alterations for FSU vs. Notre Dame

The ’Noles may be sticking with some recent changes in the defensive backfield.

We’re still mired in the quarterback battle at Florida State, regardless of what Deondre Francois is saying. That said, it’s no surprise to see the QB depth chart changed from Francois at the QB1 spot and James Blackman on the QB2 line changed to Francois “OR” Blackman.

All of the rest of the changes to the Seminole depth chart are in the defensive backfield, and they reflect those who got starts at some different spots against NC State. One cornerback spot had included Levonta Taylor first, followed by Asante Samuel, Jr. But after Stanford Samuels III got the nod there against the Wolfpack, he now claims the top line, with Taylor drawing an “OR” below him.

At free safety, Samuels III had been starting, with an “OR” tying him to Hamsah Nasirildeen. But his move to corner appears even more solid given the fact that he’s not listed at either safety spot at all anymore. Instead, Nasirildeen is now the clear starter, with Cyrus Fagan included as his backup.

The other CB position had been allocated to Kyle Meyers, with A.J. Lytton as the reserve. It now features Asante Samuel, Jr., who, like Samuels III started at corner against NC State, “OR” Meyers. Lytton is listed on the third line.

Once again, there are no special teams changes on the latest FSU depth chart, which is included for your perusal below.
