Florida State football, recruiting news: Big-time prospect set to visit Seminoles

New FSU head coach Willie Taggart sent his best to men’s hoops coach Leonard Hamilton after the ’Noles officially made the big dance.

New Florida State linebackers coach Raymond Woodie shared his defensive philosophy for this Seminoles team.

FSU defensive backs coach Alonzo Hampton was mic’d up at The Chase and dropped some healthy reminders to the squad.

Recruiting

The Seminoles have 5-star c/o 2019 prospect Kayvon Thibodeaux out of Thousand Oaks (Ca.) in Tallahassee this weekend. Thibodeaux is a weak-side defensive end and is the No. 1 prospect in the class according to 247 Sports.

Alumni

Washington Redskins kicker and Florida State alum Dustin Hopkins has been re-signed.

The Miami Dolphins have released FSU linebacker alum Lawrence Timmons.

Other Sports
