Starting offensive tackle no longer listed on FSU football roster

Josh Ball started 9 games for Florida State last season.

Josh Ball, who started nine games for Florida State at left tackle, is no longer listed on the football roster.

After redshirting in 2016, Ball stepped in at left tackle when injuries struck the offensive line. He played well at times and the former four-star recruit showed promise as a potential starter in 2018.

However, Ball has since been removed from the team’s website. Per a report by the Tampa Bay Times, Ball is not in good standing with the university.

This comes after unconfirmed reports that Ball had been suspended by the university for a violation of the student code of conduct.

If Ball does not return to Florida State in 2018, the Seminoles will still return four starters along the offensive line.

Alex Eberle is a three-year veteran at center and Cole Minshew and Landon Dickerson each have experience at offensive guard. Derrick Kelly was FSU’s starting left tackle to begin the season before injuries forced him to kick inside.
