Questions had been surrounding the academic eligibility of four-star FSU linebacker signee Xavier Peters, especially heading into fall camp, but they look to have been resolved in a positive way for ’Nole football.
Although Peters has taken to Twitter in the past to reaffirm Tallahassee as his next destination (and in graduation apparel no less) doubts still remained when he failed to appear at practice in the opening days of camp. But we’ve learned through multiple sources that Peters has indeed qualified. A product of West Chester (Lakota West), Ohio, Peters was considered the No. 12 outside linebacker prospect in the country for the class of 2018, as well as being the 6th best player out of the Buckeye State. The 6’4, 225-pound defender is a ferocious hitter who, for the Seminoles, will move to the line to play defensive end. Peters also had offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Penn State, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, and several others.
