Another week, and another wildly different set of bowl projections for the Seminoles. While Florida State (1-1) had before been predicted to wind up facing power-five opponents in the postseason, ESPN’s latest look ahead now has the ’Noles squaring off against a pair of teams outside of those heralded ranks.
Kyle Bonagura had FSU meeting LSU in the Music City Bowl, but he now thinks that Florida State will face Navy in the Military Bowl, which would be a de facto home game for the Midshipmen played in Annapolis, Maryland at noon on December 31.
Mitch Sherman has also shifted his projection as to the Seminoles’ postseason destination. Last week, he forecasted the ’Noles meeting Oregon in the Sun Bowl. Now, Sherman thinks that FSU will remain in its home state to challenge the Houston Cougars in the Gasparilla Bowl, slated for Tampa, Florida, on December 20 at 8 pm.
