FSU road uniforms to include pants, helmet changes for Louisville

Florida State got back on the scoreboard and back in the win column on Saturday against Northern Illinois, but the Seminoles will not be back in their tradition road uniforms this Saturday when they play at Louisville.

Typically, the ’Noles rock a gold-white-gold look for away games, but they’ve decided to switch things up for the Cardinals. Instead, FSU will return its famous/infamous (depending upon your taste) garnet pants to complement the white jerseys. But that won’t be the biggest alteration, nor will it be the one that detonates the comments section below. Florida State will also wear its two-toned garnet-and-black helmet, the same one that the Seminoles sported in their blackout-look loss against Virginia Tech. If you don’t recall that game, it’s probably because you had your own blackout following the result.

It goes without saying that the garnet-and-black lid has certainly not found much love outside of the FSU locker room, and for good reason: the two-toned look is for 1994 Ford Explorers.
