Florida State head coach Willie Taggart addressed the collected media after the Seminoles comeback victory over Louisville on Saturday. This was no small accomplishment, as Taggart gained his first conference victory, as well as his first road triumph, as the FSU head coach.
We’ve included the video of Taggart’s interview below, but here are some quick takeaways:
- Taggart seems to be all-in with Deondre Francois at QB. While the ’Nole single-caller played poorly through much of the first half, Taggart confirmed his belief in 12 following his quarterback’s rebound after halftime.
- A win is a win: Taggart spoke to his team’s perseverance, and how the Seminoles hung in there throughout this contest. It may have been ugly at times, but a road win in the ACC should never be taken for granted.
- Taggart was certainly happy to have offensive lineman Landon Dickerson back, and he used him as a model for the type of OL recruits FSU will pursue in the future: “highly competitive, tough-nosed football players.”
