FSU football switching up uniforms again for Samford game

Back in black? Nah. Back to basics.

NCAA Football: UL Monroe at Florida State Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State began its 2018 football season with a blackout look against Virginia Tech, and that proved rather fitting, as no Seminoles fan really wants to remember most of that game. For week two, Samford will come calling, and the ’Noles will stick to a more traditional look: the standard garnet and gold home uniforms.

It’s actually been a minute since we’ve seen FSU in the garnet and gold. Prior to Monday night’s debacle against VT, recall that the Seminoles shunned the gold pants for garnet in their Independence Bowl win over Southern Miss last December. The last time Florida State wore garnet and gold was in its 2018 home finale against Louisiana-Monroe, which secured bowl eligibility for the Seminoles.

Below is the hype video recently released by FSU that reveals the uniform choice for Saturday. Remember to check back with us about uniforms, as FSU will be announcing the selection each Monday from here on out.
