UPDATE: FSU football has announced that kickoff has been set for 8:45 p.m. following the weather delay.

Florida State is experiencing a weather delay ahead of the Seminoles’ game against Samford.

The game was previously scheduled to kick off at 7:20 p.m.

Fans were encouraged to seek shelter shortly after lighting was detected in the area. Fans who leave Doak Campbell stadium are asked to retain their tickets to gain re-entry into the stadium following the delay.

There is no word yet on when the pre-game schedule will resume and when kickoff will be pushed back until.

FSU is seeking its first win of the season after last week’s disappointing loss to Virginia Tech that spoiled Willie Taggart’s debut as head coach.

The ’Noles enter as a 33-point favorite over the Samford Bulldogs. Samford is coming off a 66-9 win over Shorter College. Samford is a legitimate FCS opponent and is ranked within the FCS Top-10.

This post will be updated as more information is released regarding kickoff time.
