Our Bud Elliott and Ingram Smith return for another preview podcast, this time welcoming Riley Johnston from our sister site covering Wake Forest athletics, Blogger So Dear.
The guys get right into it, beginning with the most important position on the field: quarterback. Johnston anticipates the Demon Deacons starting backup QB Sam Hartman against Florida State over banged-up signal-caller Jamie Newman. Whomever is taking snaps, he’ll be looking often to productive receivers Sage Surratt and Scotty Washington. On the ground, it’ll be interesting to see if Wake continues to run inside, the strength of the FSU rushing defense.
On the other side of the ball, questions abound for the Deacs after suffering their first loss of the season to Louisville by a score of 62-59. Johnston weighs in on the strengths of the WF defense, as well as its weaknesses. And special teams could play a big part in this one, too.
The gang touches on a bunch of other topics, as well as giving predictions and fielding listener questions, so click below to listen to the full Nolecast preview of Saturday’s game against Wake Forest.
