Lose to Clemson, and both ESPN bowl projectors drop you from their postseason forecasts. Lose to Wake Forest...
That’s right, after dropping their game vs. the Demon Deacons, the Seminoles are bowling once again, according to Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach of ESPN. The former has FSU facing Louisiana Tech in Shreveport’s Independence Bowl, while the latter sees the ’Noles playing Temple in the Birmingham Bowl. Our own Banner Society also thinks Florida State will matchup with the Owls in December, but in Annapolis’ Military Bowl.
Other than that, a whole slew of new opponents is appearing in bowl projections for the Seminoles. 247 Sports is thinking Independence Bowl, but against Buffalo, while a couple of Big Ten foes are possibilities, too. CBS Sports is calling for a Pinstripe Bowl collision with Michigan State in NYC, and College Football News has the ’Noles headed to Motown to play Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl.
And then there’s the opponent that many of you have been predicting since early in the season. And The Sporting News is now on board: they have FSU headed to Charlotte to play in the Belk Bowl against Tennessee.
