Nolecast: Previewing FSU vs. Syracuse

Back on the airwaves are our Bud Elliott and Ingram Smith, this time talking about Florida State’s homecoming matchup with the Syracuse Orange on Saturday. This game looked like a tough test for FSU before the season, but ’Cuse has underperformed, relative to expectations.

Still, this is a very important contest for the ’Noles, as their bowl prospects could well hang in the balance. As we discussed in our graphic preview of this game, Syracuse’s propensity for giving up big plays may play into the Seminoles’ hands, but FSU will need to contend with a pair of effective defensive ends.

Defensively for Florida State, the Seminoles are facing an even worse offensive line than their own, and an Orange offense almost entirely dependent on big plays.
