The NC State game brought us the first time this season that Florida State hasn’t both led and trailed in the fourth quarter— and now another first is upon us: every projection we check on a weekly basis has the Seminoles making a bowl game.
Stadium’s Brett McMurphy was the longtime holdout here, but he now has the ’Noles headed to Annapolis, Maryland for the Military Bowl against Tulane. Kyle Bonagura, of ESPN, concurs with both the destination and opponent. Our own Banner Society also sees the Military Bowl in FSU’s future, but vs. Temple.
College Football News thinks Florida State will play Tulane as well, but in Shreveport’s Independence Bowl. And a Pinstripe Bowl matchup vs. Nebraska remains a popular pick for the Seminoles, as that’s what 247 Sports and CBS Sports think FSU’s postseason will entail.
The Sporting News thinks the ’Noles will travel to Charlotte and the Belk Bowl to face South Carolina, while ESPN’s Mark Schlabach foresees a strip to El Paso’s Sun Bowl and a date with Arizona.
