On Sunday afternoon, Florida State University released a statement relieving Willie Taggart of his head coaching duties less than two years into his tenure. Odell Haggins was named interim head coach effective immediately for the second time of his career as Florida State prepares to head up to Boston College.
Shortly after the news broke, Willie Taggart took to Twitter to release a short statement. Former, current, and high school recruits/targets expressed their thoughts on social media and the reactions were vastly different.

The difference between us is vision. I look big picture u look at the now. Now what’s your plan and how long u give it to work. What if your son went to FSU to play and got red shirted and played sparingly his 2nd season. Should u give up on him? I got time. https://t.co/X4LPiJEQCU

We will continue to update this article as the reactions to Taggart’s firing come in. Obviously, with coaching changes and program uncertainty, high school players will waiver in their commitments and we will see the some of the consequences of Taggart’s firing.
