’Noles a slight underdog at Boston College— you betting FSU?

Wagering on the Odell effect?

Last season, Florida State football needed to beat one-point-favorite Boston College to sustain any chance of reaching six wins and making a bowl. The Seminole emerged as one-point winners. The more things change...

With a season-ending loss at Florida highly likely, the 4-5 ’Noles again need to top the Eagles, this time on the road with the forecast calling for a high of just 40 degrees in Beantown on Saturday. And after opening as a pick ’em game, BC has now emerged as a favorite of between 1.5-2.5 points (the consensus is two). It’s not a surprise to see the line move this way, since Vegas dislikes uncertainty. The over/under is 63, which means the professionals are expecting a score of about 32-30 or 33-31.

FSU is 12-5 vs. Boston College all-time and got smoked 35-3 in Chestnut Hill the last time the two teams met there. So, coming off the firing of Willie Taggart and with Odell Haggins installed as interim head coach for the Seminoles, it’s time to vote.
